Opening of new innovation centre

On Friday September 20th, 2013, HUECK FOLIEN, the coating specialist for engineered films and high security features inaugurated its new innovation centre together with Dr. Michael Strugl (member of provincial government), Ing. Mag. Werner Kreisl and Erwin Kastner (mayor).

Architect DI Christoph Thomas explained some key data on the new innovation centre and handed a symbolic key for the new building over to Dr. Martin Bergsmann (CEO) and to Dr. Klaus Schmidegg (Head of R&D). After the blessing of the innovation centre by pastor Msgr. Johann Zauner, more than 40 guests had the chance to visit the new building. In the course of the new construction new application labs, creative areas and modern offices for the R&D team of HUECK FOLIEN have been established. Moreover, the existing R&D building has been rebuilt and new possibilities for the pilot plant have been created.

A special highlight of the inauguration was the presentation of "TAMPLEX®" - the latest development in the field of LABELING for the self-adhesive industry. This product innovation will be presented for the first time at the Labelexpo, the greatest European Label Show in Brussels in September 2013. TAMPLEX® is an innovative label with colour shifting effect. This effect disappears after someone peels off the label.

With the innovation in R&D at HUECK FOLIEN premises in Baumgartenberg and the new product development TAMPLEX® the company extends its leading position for optically active and functional coatings further. This is a consistent way of HUECK FOLIEN towards projected growth through thriving innovation.
